Amalgamation Update

Good Morning Everyone
The purpose of this note is to provide an update related to the Amalgamation discussions that we have been having with Hopedale Church.
As you are aware, the team of Brenda, Gord, Dave, Bill and Rev. Patrick has been leading discussions with a team from Hopedale since the early spring. These discussions concluded on Wednesday, October 11th. The outcome is that the two teams have ended the discussions with the recommendation that the two congregations not amalgamate.
While there is disappointment that a common future could not be envisioned, engaging in the process did provide us the opportunity to get to know the folks from Hopedale and share in mission projects together.
