Merry Christmas!
I am so glad that you have taken time to worship on this Christmas Eve. My hope is that this service fills you with joy and provides for you the peace that is the promise of the Christ child.

A few notes to facilitate your worship experience:
Order of Service
I have organized this service in the same way as our traditional Christmas Eve Service. We will listen to the story of Christmas (7 readings) as well as to some of our favorite traditional Christmas hymns. Then there will also be a short reflection and will be followed by the lighting of Candles and the singing of Silent Night.
An Order of Service, that contains the readings from Scripture as well as the words to the hymns and links to the music selections, can be found at this link (click here).
Music
My suggestion is to listen to the hymns at the time indicated on the order of service. I have also included a slide for each piece of music in the video that corresponds to the order of worship. If you plan to listen to the hymns as part of worship, you can stop the video at that place
To facilitate listening to the hymns during worship, it may be an idea to set up two computers – one for the readings and the other to access the music. Alternatively, you could set up the music using your phone, stereo or some other music device. Or you could do something completely different that you think will add to your worship experience.
Candles
I invite you to have a candle that you could light at the end of the service as we listen to Silent Night.
Christmas Offering
At Christmas, as we do throughout the year, we take time to remember those who are less fortunate than ourselves. We open up our hearts in response to God’s blessing upon us, and share what we have with those who are in need. Throughout this year Knox 16 has continued to support the community and our mission partners – your support of our ongoing mission is gratefully received and acknowledged.
You can make a special gift through the Knox 16 website https://knox16presbyterian.ca/contact-us/donate/, by e-transfer to treasurerk16@gmail.com, or by mailing a cheque to Knox Presbyterian Church Sixteen, 1150 Dundas Street West, Oakville Ontario, L6H 7C9.
Services of Worship 2021
As a result of the lock-down imposed by the Provincial Government of Ontario, public worship in the sanctuary of Knox 16 has been indefinitely suspended. We will continue to make worship available on-line to all those who wish to worship on a weekly basis.
Wishing you the peace and joy of Christmas
Rev. Patrick
