Hello Everyone,

I hope that you are all enjoying the Family Day weekend!   It has become a tradition for me to go skiing with my girls – and this weekend has been no different.  It has been a great way to reconnect with them as this is the first time we have been together since Christmas!

This week we continue to focus on the Gospel of Luke.  Often referred to as the “Sermon on the Plains” this week’s Scripture will help us reflect on the blessings and challenges of living life as a follower of Jesus.  I have selected two pieces of music to accompany your reflection

Announcements:

Knox 16 Public Worship:  We will meet together for public worship starting next week on Sunday, January 27^th – same time … same place!  All participants will be required to wear masks and we will continue to follow social distancing norms.  I look forward to seeing you next week!

Annual Meeting: The Annual Meeting will be held following Sunday worship on March 20^th.  All members and adherents are invited and encouraged to be present.

Security System:  Session has taken the decision to purchase a security system for the church.  With the increase in traffic to Lions Valley Park and the increased use of the parking lot the security system will provide a heightened level of protection for the building and the cemetery.  The system will consist of 3 cameras and an internal drive to record.  The cost of the system is $7,500.

Session has made application to the provincial government for $5,000 – which leaves $2,500 to be raised through contributions from the congregations.  Donations can be made through your envelop – please indicate security system or through electronic transfer to treasurerk16@gmail.com.  Thank-you in advance for your support.
