Happy New Year! … my hope is that year will be one that is filled with good things: some that are enjoyable, some that will provide challenge and opportunity for change and growth and some that will draw you deeper into relationship with God!
As you are reading this, I am still in Newfoundland with my family. It is good to be Home for Christmas and I hope that each of you have had a wonderful time with your family and friends this holiday season.
For the worship video today, I have chosen to read an essay entitled Three Christianities. The author critiques what he sees as some of the destructive and life-limiting practices of the many of the current ways that Christianity is practiced. And then shares a vision of what Christianity could look like in the future. I expect that some of what he says will resonate with you … and some other parts will be challenging because they touch close to home. (At least that is what happened to me!) Either way, the intention is that it provides you with an opportunity to reflect upon your own spiritual practices as well as on how we as a congregation will continue to grow in faith and love for one another.

With Blessings for a Happy New Year
Patrick
