Good Morning –
Next Sunday will be Palm Sunday when we will celebrate Jesus Triumphant entry into Jerusalem. However, today is the 5th Sunday of Lent – and we are encouraged to spend a little more time in the wilderness – reflecting upon who we are in our brokenness as we prepare to share in the passion of Jesus.
As with the previous weeks I have selected music that I hope will enhance the message of the reflection. So today I am suggesting an eclectic mix that will meet us in the place of wilderness and offer us hope for a new beginning.

The Hope of Psalm 102:
Today we will reflect on psalm 102. As part of this reflection you are encourage to print the psalm below and to pray it each day during the next week. My hope is that it will bring you comfort and assurance.
The Hope of Psalm 102
You, O Lord, are enthroned forever;
your name endures to all generations:
long ago you laid the foundation of the earth,
and the heavens are the work of your hands.
You look down from your holy height,
upon the earth, and hear the groans of the prisoners;
you regard the prayer of the destitute,
and set free those who are ready to die;
Their children shall live protected,
their offspring shall dwell secure in your presence.
Let this be recorded for generations to come,
so that a people yet unborn may know of God’s compassion.
(poetic paraphrase – v 12, 17-20, 25, 28)
Announcements:
Public worship: Session met on Friday, March 12th and took the decision to continue to suspend public worship. This decision will be revisited on March 26th –
This was not an easy decision of the members of Session to make, as we desire to be present as a worshiping community. We feel the pain of separation and hope that we will be able to worship together soon.
Good Friday – Service of Worship: The Good Friday Service will be a contemplative service that will provide opportunity for those who are participating to reflect upon the journey of Lent this year. The Good Friday Service will begin at 10:00am and will be held over Zoom (there will be no worship video for this service). I would encourage all those who wish to participate in worship to log in at 9:45am. This is the link for the Good Friday Worship Service. https://us02web.zoom.us/j/87290537655
If there is anyone who would like to have a pastoral visit, please reach out to me directly or mention your need to one of your elders.
With Blessings,
Patrick
