May 22 2022 – Sunday Worship Posted

Good Morning!!

My hope is that you have had a good week!  With the better weather it gives us a chance to enjoy the sunshine and the warm air!  I’ve enjoyed watching the colors erupt from the tulips and the trees – especially the magnolia that graces our front lawn!

For today’s service I have chosen to reflect upon a passage from Scripture that we focused on a couple of weeks ago.  I encourage you to notice that depending upon the aspect of the passage that we focus upon our reflection can be led in a different direction.  Both hold true to the context of the passage thus it is our context and situation that leads us to engage the story differently.

 Announcements:

May 29^th:  Worship will be held at Knox 16 beginning at our usual time, 10:30am.  We are pleased to welcome Rev. Jan Hieminga who will lead worship.

June 5^th:  This Sunday will be our Service of Remembrance and Hope.  This is a special day in the life of our congregation where we take the opportunity to reflect upon life and death, the resurrection and eternal life and upon the grief that we have for those who have passed from this live to the next during this year.

Following our service of worship, we will have a time of fellowship over a light meal.  Everyone is invited to bring something to share as we join together.

Following lunch and as part of our reflection, we will plant flowers in the cemetery – and remember those who have been part of the life of our congregation.  Everyone is encouraged to plant a flower or two as a sign of our care.
