Greetings!
My hope is that this message finds you well and that you find joy in this day!
Please use this link for today’s worship.
My hope is that you are finding a way to celebrate Thanksgiving! Today’s worship will focus on giving thanks in all circumstances and situations. When we live with gratitude we show God’s love to the world!
I have selected two hymns of thanksgiving and praise to accompany the service of worship.
Session met on Friday and discussed among other things, public worship and our approach to determining if we will continue to have worship in the church on Sunday mornings. The decision of Session is that we will continue to have Sunday worship until further notice. So assume that regular worship is occurring unless there is a specific communication indicating otherwise.
Please also be aware that Session has requested that the Clerk of Session and the Minister continue to evaluate this situation on a week to week basis in order to ensure that it is safe to hold public worship. On a weekly basis the 4 following criteria will be used as part of the assessment.
- Direction of advice from public health officials
- Health of the Knox 16 congregation (ie: whether or not a member of the congregation has the virus)
- Infection rates in Halton region – with a specific on the demographic that is affected
- Adherence by the congregation to the Covid 19 worship protocol approved by Session
Please be assured that Session is balancing the need to stay safe with the need to be present with each other for worship – please keep us in your prayers as we continue to deliberate.
With Blessings for a inspired day of thanksgiving.
Patrick
