Today worship is a special one for me – as it was 5 years ago that I was ordained and was called as the minister of this congregation.  I feel very humbled by the support and care that you have shown towards me and my family as well as the trust that you have given to me in allowing me to enter into your lives. My prayer is that as our relationship continues, that we will continue to follow God’s vision for our church by supporting each other and the community that surrounds us.

Four announcements:

Church Re-opening Committee:

When Session meets in September, we will discuss the timing of reopening the church. To assist with the decision we need to create a committee that will be specifically focused on preparing for the re-opening of the church.  The members of this committee will be responsible for researching and creating a plan that addresses the necessary procedures for opening, including: criteria for opening, distancing requirements and cleaning.  Without the work of this committee we will not be able to reopen. 

3 additional people are required to join this committee in addition to the  people who have stepped forward.  Please contact Brenda if you are willing and able to serve in this capacity.

Ministers Vacation:

I will be on vacation from August 3^rd to August 16^th.  During this time, I will not be checking e-mail or phone messages. However, If there is a pastoral crisis during this time I will respond.  Please contact Brenda by e-mail or phone and she will contact me.

Weekly Worship:

During my vacation, weekly worship will continue … one of the benefits of taping the worship services!

Sermon Roundtable:

Following my vacation, we will begin the Sermon Roundtable.  This will be a weekly discussion related to the Scripture passages that will be used for weekly worship.  If you are interested in participating or would like to learn more, please send Pat an e-mail.
