Grounds upkeep – An Update

Hello Everyone,

We are half way through the summer and still in the thick of the covid virus problem and still faced with a closed church and distancing ourselves from others.  We hope that this is not going to last too much longer but there is still a lot of uncertainty as to when things will get back to normal. 

To give you an update on what has been happening with the maintenance, the landscaping company that we hired to cut the grass this year has been doing a great job.  They have been cutting the grass every week up until July 1^st and now have reduced the frequency to once every two weeks.  If we get a lot of rain, we may have to cut it ourselves in between their cuttings, so we may have to call on Lew to show us how to operate the riding lawn mower. 

Many thanks to those that have helped out with the grounds up keep this year, I know there has been a lot of weeding and trimming being done by members of the congregation.  There is still a lot to be done with weeding and watering and there are two grave sites near the lawn mower barn that have to be weeded.  So, if you find yourself with some spare time, you’re welcome to spend your time there.
