Service of Remembrance and Hope

Sunday, May 28, 2023 – 10:30 am

Every year, we have a special service of Remembrance and Hope to remember and honour those in our circle of family and friends who have passed on and to reflect upon our hope in the resurrection.  Again, this year, we will be celebrating and planting flowers to honour them.  There will be flowers available for you to plant; however, please feel free to bring flowers that might be your favourite.

Following our worship service, we will be holding a short meeting in the sanctuary to update the congregation on plans to open discussion with the congregation of Hopedale on the possibility of amalgamating the two congregations.  It is important for the Amalgamation Committee to enter into the discussion knowing your thoughts on this very important process.

We will have our usual “Meet ‘n Eat” in the Cecil Cunningham room, then go into the cemetery to plant flowers.  It is recommended that you bring gloves, a spade, and if you wish a hat (for sun protection).

Everyone is welcome for lunch and flower planting.  We hope you plan to participate.
