Good Morning,
My hope is that this message finds you well and that you find joy in this day!
Please use this link for today’s worship.
We are entering into the final days of summer, and as we listen to the news of what is happening in the world around us, we know that the changes that we have been experiencing as a result of Covid-19 will continue into the fall. What was is no more – and a new reality is emerging.
Church Reopening
The committee for reopening of the church has been meeting to determine how we can safely open our church for worship. One of the members of the committee reminded us that Knox 16 is a caring community, caring for the community, and therefore it was important that at the center of all our deliberations must be the requirement to keep everyone safe. The committee also discussed hospitality, and how we were obliged to do what we could to make everyone who attends worship feel both safe and comfortable. We discussed that within our fellowship that there are a wide range of perspectives of how we could act during covid-19 and how important it would be for all those who wished to attend to adhere to the procedures that will be agreed upon by the committee and approved by Session. We are all in this together, and in situations such as this, the will of the group needs to take precedence over the perspective of the individual. We ask your prayers as we continue to deliberate.
Sermon Roundtable
The first meeting of the Roundtable will take place on Wednesday, September 2, at 7:30pm. If you wish to join send Patrick an e-mail and he will send you a Zoom invitation!
Music for Worship
Today I have selected 3 pieces of music. I would suggest that you listen to the first two pieces prior to the video … and then listen to the 3rd selection “You are Mine” at the end of your time of worship.
· Don Moen: Here We Are
· Song of the Parable of the Sower and the Seed: John Hayles
· You are Mine: David Haas & Lyrics
With blessings,
Patrick
